Make it in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

The health and safety of our people and environment is paramount at Fletcher Building. Based on the belief that all accidents are preventable, our long-term goal is to eliminate all serious workplace injuries across the company. Put simply, our goal is to ensure zero harm.

To achieve this we are enhancing EHS at Fletcher Building (FB), strengthening our business partner model and investing in talent and enablers to reduce risk across the business. From 2017 we will be launching and rolling out PROTECT, our EHS management and assurance system. This is one of the largest, most complex, interesting, and rewarding EHS environments in Australasia.

With more than 19,000 people across 40 countries, the Fletcher Building family is a global community made up of people who use all of their experience, skills and individuality to do amazing work. With over 50 businesses operating in five continents, we are enriched by many different languages, customs and lifestyles.

Promoted by our Executive and business leadership, we have ambitious but achievable EHS goals for the business. To do this we need talented EHS professionals to join our team.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking ambitious EHS professionals to fill multiple vacancies within the Global EHS Leadership and EHS Excellence teams. We want candidates who can work closely with our businesses to help them embed PROTECT and drive significant risk reduction.

We operate a business partner model, with leadership roles aligned to Divisions (e.g. Building Products, Distribution) and their Business Units, supported by a core EHS Excellence team. All roles are Australasia based, primarily in Auckland, New Zealand. We are seeking EHS specialists from off shore as well as within Australasia. It is a great opportunity to combine an enviable lifestyle with a rewarding career.
